Not Just Another Grouchy Grammarian

Musings about language, books, grammar, and writing in general

Review: The Inimitable Jeeves (Jeeves #2), by P.G. Wodehouse

I’m finding the Jeeves books an interesting phenomenon. I was looking forward to reading them because I knew how much my mother liked them. However, although they are witty and well-written, I dislike both Bertie and Jeeves, and almost everyone they get involved with.

I. know life is short and there are many more books I want to read, but my current plan regarding Jeeves is to read one or two more of the series and then, if I still don’t like it, I will put it aside for now. I do want to give the characters a fair chance to grow on me before I abandon them, so this seems the wisest move.
